Book Presentation: "Theatrical Monologues" by Miro Gavran

On Thursday, September 19, starting at 12 p.m. in the Jure Petričević Hall, the presentation of Miro Gavran’s new book titled Theatrical Monologues was held, published by Mozaik knjiga from Zagreb.
The event featured book editor Andrija Škare, theatrologist Sanja Nikčević, actress Mladena Gavran, actor Robert Kurbaša, and the author himself, Miro Gavran.
The program began with introductory remarks by editor Andrija Škare, who briefly outlined the process of creating the book. Theatrologist Sanja Nikčević emphasized the importance of a book of theatrical monologues, which will particularly benefit elementary and high school students for performances in literary competitions, actors preparing for entrance exams at the academy, as well as anyone preparing an artistic program. This was followed by captivating performances that delighted the audience. Robert Kurbaša readsegments from the plays When an Actor Dies and Every One of Your Birthdays, while Mladena Gavran read a segment from the comedy Laughter Forbidden, and then performed a scene from the comedy Hotel Babylon.
After these impressive performances, the author himself addressed the audience, thanking everyone for their attendance and support, concluding the event in a warm and inspiring atmosphere.
The book Theatrical Monologues offers a selection of the most famous monologues from Gavran’s plays, making a valuable contribution to Croatian theater and theatrical literature.
